Read It and Weep, previously
titled, How My Private, Personal Journal Became A Bestseller is an upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie premiering on July 21, 2006 and follows the forecoming events of an average
girl after she accidentally turns her journal in at school, and it ends up becoming a national
bestseller. The film stars Kay and Danielle Panabaker.
It is based on the children's novel How My Private Personal Journal Became a Bestseller
by Julia DeVillers, who has a cameo in a pizza parlor scene.
In the book, Jamie has an older sister, Allie;
while in the movie she has an older brother Lenny, who sings.
It was filmed in Murray and Salt Lake City, Utah.

This movie was partly filmed at the same city
as Disney's High School Musical.
